Parent Correspondence

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS:

To assist us in ensuring our students safe and efficient transportation, please review the following guidelines with your child. Also, please make sure your house number is clearly displayed on your house and/or mailbox!!

  • Students should be at the bus stop 5 minutes before their pick-up time.
  •  

  • NEVER run after the bus, call the Transportation Department if you miss your bus.
  •  

  • Label belongings to aid in returning lost items to students.
  •  

  • Glass objects, animals, skateboards, skis etc. ARE NOT allowed on the bus.
  •  

  • There is no EATING or DRINKING allowed on the school bus.
  •  

  • All sports equipment MUST be contained in an appropriate gear bag.
  •  

We have 3 simple bus rules posted on every bus. Please review these rules with your children. There is great value in having the students know that mom, dad and the bus driver all have the same expectations!!

Bus Rules

Daily Changes for K-5 Students:

Please try to keep route changes to a minimum. Parents may request a special pick-up or drop-off for an occasional childcare need using a "3-part form". These can be obtained from any bus driver, the transportation or school office. Have your son/daughter give "3-part form" to their pick-up (AM) bus driver, 1 copy will be returned to them to give to their teacher, the other two copies will be distributed back at the transportation department to the bus drivers involved in the bus change.

Special requests for birthday parties, scouts, any lessons, playing with a friend, etc. will be honored only if the students remain on their regularly scheduled bus route.
