Every Student. Every Day. Making the Most of the Situation at Hand.

Honeoye Falls, New York, January, 2021 - Congratulations to Superintendent Gene Mancuso, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Renee Williams on the publication of their article regarding the re-opening of school, published in the winter edition of Vanguard.
The article, “Every Student, Every Day”, details the process and results used to re-open HF-L schools during the pandemic. This process resulted in the school district offering five day a week instruction to all elementary students, and synchronous live instruction to all students. With safety, time, innovation, and careful planning the article details the tremendous amount of communication and collaboration with all stakeholders that took place to re-open schools during a global pandemic.
“The entire school community participated in this process, including numerous community forums, thousands of residents, community experts who participated on a re-opening task force, and the use of software to gather ideas to create the official state mandated school re-opening plan,” said Mancuso.
As noted in the article, there is nothing simple about what HF-L is doing, however the District is indeed making the most out of the situation at hand.
