The primary role of the Director of Professional Learning is to support teachers in their quest to become more effective instructional facilitators. This includes planning, facilitating, and coordinating data-driven professional learning experiences to increase student engagement and achievement. In addition, the Director of Professional Learning oversees the District's New Teacher Mentoring Program and assists the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and Building Principals in the supervision and support of the Standards Coordinators and Grade Level Leaders to coordinate programs, monitor student achievement data, and meet strategic intents.
