HF-L Dollard Stadium Turf Field Closed for Summer Renovation
The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District has announced that the turf field at HF-L’s Dollard Stadium will be closed throughout the summer months as part of a planned renovation project tied to the voter-approved 2022 capital project.
The project includes the full replacement of the existing synthetic turf surface, ensuring the field continues to meet safety standards and provides a high-quality playing surface for student-athletes and community use. The work is a component of the district’s long-range facilities plan aimed at maintaining and modernizing key district assets.
The current turf has reached the end of its expected lifespan, making replacement necessary to support continued use by HF-L athletics programs, physical education classes, and community organizations.
“This project reflects our community’s commitment to maintaining safe, high-quality facilities for our students and residents,” said Gene Mancuso, HF-L Superintendent. “We are grateful to HF-L voters for supporting the 2022 referendum that made this important work possible.”
During construction, Dollard Stadium will be inaccessible to the public. The district asks for the community’s cooperation in observing all posted closures and avoiding the construction area to ensure safety and allow crews to complete the work efficiently. Other fields on campus will remain available via the Facilities Use Form request on the district's website: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=FFfEYk_iI02QDaLBUXqejtm8EV2pRFdJpPhwqoDYKQtUQ0JFSVZFRkYxUEY4UkRRVTZFMlZOT0FZQiQlQCN0PWcu
The renovation is expected to be completed in time for the fall athletic season, when student-athletes will return to a refreshed and upgraded playing surface.
