Board of Education Selects New Leadership During Annual Reorganization Meeting

The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting on July 7, during which members selected new leadership for the 2026-27 school year and completed a variety of annual organizational appointments.The board elected Lynley Guckian as president of the Board of Education. Guckian was recently re-elected by voters this spring and begins her second term on the board.

Board members also elected Carol Bellavia to serve as vice president of the Board of Education. Bellavia has served on the board since 2012 and brings more than a decade of experience and leadership to the role.

The meeting also marked the official start of service for newly elected board member Julie Masterson, who was elected by district residents in May. During the meeting, all newly elected Board of Education members, along with the superintendent and assistant superintendents, took their oaths of office. The board also completed its annual reorganization business, including the approval of numerous educational and operational appointments necessary for the upcoming school year.

The annual reorganization meeting marks the official start of the board's work for the new school year as members continue to support the district's mission and strategic priorities on behalf of the HF-L community.
