Longtime Honeoye Falls-Lima swimming and diving coach Norm Schueckler was inducted into the Section V Theodore (Ted) R. Woods Executive Hall of Fame on Wednesday in recognition of decades of leadership and service to interscholastic athletics.

Schueckler was honored during the 2026 induction ceremony at Wild Wood Country Club for his extensive contributions to swimming and diving at the local, sectional, and state levels.

For more than 10 years, Schueckler served as the Section V Girls Swimming & Diving Coordinator, overseeing championship events and helping guide the sport throughout the region. He also served as a league coordinator in both the Livingston Conference Athletic Association (LCAA) and the Monroe County Private Schools Athletic Conference (MCPSAC) while coaching the boys and girls swimming and diving teams at Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District.

According to his Hall of Fame nomination, Schueckler's professionalism and organizational skills have made him one of the most respected leaders in Section V athletics. The nomination highlighted his ability to manage sectional and state championship meets with exceptional efficiency and attention to detail.

"There is no one better at running a championship meet other than Norm Schueckler," one nomination letter stated.

In addition to his work within Section V, Schueckler has served as the meet director for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Swimming and Diving Championships for the past three years at the Webster Aquatic Center.

Section V officials praised Schueckler's commitment to student-athletes and the sport of swimming and diving, noting the lasting impact of his leadership and service.
"Norm took his role as coordinator very seriously and Section V is thankful for his commitment," the Hall of Fame program stated.

The honor recognizes a career dedicated to excellence, organization, and service, as well as the positive influence Schueckler has had on generations of student-athletes and coaches throughout the region.
